As of November 3, 2026, Metro 2039 is listed at $69.99 for the Standard Edition and $99.99 for the Digital Deluxe Edition in the United States. Those prices appear on both Steam for PC and the US PlayStation Store for PS5. The Deluxe listing is therefore $30 above Standard.
Preorders are open, and the global release date is February 4, 2027. These are pre-release store listings, so treat them as current US reference prices rather than permanent worldwide prices. Current listings do not establish one verified price for every platform, physical edition, or retailer.
Confirmed US Metro 2039 prices
| Edition | Store and format | Listed US price | What the listing confirms |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard | Steam, PC digital | $69.99 | Base game plus the Specialist Pack during the preorder offer |
| Standard | PlayStation Store, PS5 digital | $69.99 | Full game plus the Specialist Pack during the preorder offer |
| Standard | GameStop, PS5 physical | $69.99 | Standard physical edition; the captured listing was marked currently unavailable |
| Deluxe | Steam, PC digital | $99.99 | Base game, Specialist Pack, and Deluxe Edition Upgrade |
| Deluxe | PlayStation Store, PS5 digital | $99.99 | Full game, Specialist Pack, Story Expansion DLC, digital art book, and digital soundtrack |
| Collector's | Selected retailers, physical | Not verified in current listings | Official contents are known, but the price is retailer- and region-dependent |
The cleanest comparison is the digital one: Standard is $69.99 and Deluxe is $99.99 on the two US storefronts with confirmed numeric prices. Do not use SteamDB's converted regional values as a US checkout quote; they represent other store regions and currency conversions.
What the Standard price includes
The Standard Edition is the base game. The official edition announcement describes it as available physically and digitally. On PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, a physical copy uses a game disc; the PC physical package uses a code in the box.
During the documented preorder offer, every edition receives the Specialist Pack. It contains three blueprints that provide early unlocks for swappable backpack upgrades:
- Equipment Specialist Pouch: supports faster crafting of advanced weapons and gear.
- Chemtech Specialist Pouch: supports radioactive-area exploration with more gas-mask filters and cleaner, more reliable equipment.
- Munitions Specialist Pouch: supports access to rarer, more powerful ammunition types.
Only one of the three upgrades can be equipped at a time. This pack changes when those upgrades become available; it should not be treated as a separate higher-priced edition.
The Specialist Pack is a preorder bonus available with any edition.
If the base game is the only confirmed content you want, $69.99 is the supported US reference price. The captured GameStop page also displayed $69.99 for the selected PS5 Standard copy, but it showed that item as currently unavailable, so that capture does not prove present stock.
What the Deluxe price adds
The confirmed US digital Deluxe price is $99.99. Compared with the $69.99 digital Standard price, the listed premium is $30.
The documented Deluxe additions are:
- Story Expansion DLC scheduled for release in 2027
- Digital art book
- Digital soundtrack
The physical Deluxe package also includes an exclusive Steelbook and a hardback art book. Its game format follows the official physical-edition note: a disc on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, and a code in the box on PC. Current listings confirm those contents but do not provide one verified US physical Deluxe price.
The Deluxe Edition includes the Story Expansion DLC, art book, and soundtrack.
The price comparison alone cannot prove that Deluxe is cheaper than buying its extras separately. No standalone price for the Story Expansion DLC is currently confirmed, so there is no supported break-even calculation yet. Standard is the lower confirmed cost; Deluxe is the documented option for buyers who specifically want the later expansion and digital extras.
How the Steam 10% Deluxe offer affects the price
Steam advertises 10% off the Digital Deluxe Edition preorder for owners of a qualifying digital game from the Metro series. The storefront text does not identify every qualifying title or show an account-specific final checkout amount.
Use $99.99 as the displayed Steam Deluxe list price, then check the signed-in cart for eligibility before comparing it with another store. Do not assume the discount applies merely because any Metro product is in the account.
The offer applies to the Digital Deluxe preorder, not to the confirmed $69.99 Standard price or to an unspecified physical or Collector's Edition price.
Why the Collector's Edition price is still unresolved
The official announcement confirms a physical Collector's Edition sold through selected retailers. Its package contains:
- Metro 2039 game copy
- Wearable replica Spartan Helmet
- Exclusive Steelbook
- Hardback art book
- Story Expansion DLC
- Digital art book
- Digital soundtrack
It also receives the Specialist Pack under the documented preorder offer. However, the official retailer notice says pricing, availability, and release dates can vary by retailer and region. The current US information names Amazon and GameStop as retailer routes but does not establish a single verified numeric Collector's Edition price.
The Collector’s Edition includes the physical Deluxe Edition and wearable Spartan Helmet replica.
This means $69.99 and $99.99 should not be reused as Collector's Edition prices. They belong to the confirmed Standard and Digital Deluxe listings described above.
Platform and format limits on this price guide
Metro 2039 is officially announced for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC through Steam, Epic Games Store, and Xbox on PC. Confirmed numeric US prices currently cover Steam, the PlayStation Store, and a captured PS5 Standard listing at GameStop.
The checked Xbox Store page confirms Xbox Series X|S and PC support but does not show a numeric price. No Epic Games Store price was available in the checked material. A price seen on Steam or PS5 should therefore not be presented as a confirmed Xbox or Epic price without a matching storefront listing.
There is also no official announcement for PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, or macOS. Avoid buying a similarly named key or retailer listing that claims one of those unconfirmed platforms.
What to verify before preordering
- Store region: the $69.99 and $99.99 figures on this page are confirmed US listings, not worldwide conversions.
- Edition: confirm Standard or Deluxe before paying; the $30 difference corresponds to documented Deluxe content.
- Format: check digital, console disc, or PC code-in-box, especially when buying a physical package.
- Bonus status: verify that the Specialist Pack is still attached to the preorder listing you choose.
- Discount eligibility: if buying Deluxe on Steam, use the signed-in cart to confirm whether the conditional 10% offer applies.
- Retailer stock: a displayed price does not prove that a physical copy or Collector's Edition is currently available.
The evidence-supported answer is narrow but clear: $69.99 Standard and $99.99 Digital Deluxe in confirmed US Steam and PlayStation listings, with other platform, physical Deluxe, and Collector's Edition prices still requiring a current retailer-specific check.
