The Metro 2039 Collector's Edition combines the full Deluxe Edition package with its exclusive centerpiece: a wearable replica of the Stranger’s battle-scarred Spartan helmet. It also includes a Steelbook, hardback art book, Story Expansion DLC, digital art book, and digital soundtrack.
Preordering adds the Specialist Pack, but that bonus is available with every preordered edition rather than being exclusive to the Collector's Edition. The package is planned for selected retailers in limited quantities, while its exact price and current stock depend on the retailer and region.
Confirmed Collector's Edition Contents
The announced package contains the following physical and digital items:
| Item | Format | Confirmed details |
|---|---|---|
| Metro 2039 | Physical console disc or PC code-in-box | The official edition breakdown lists a disc for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, while the PC package contains a code instead of a disc. Check the exact retailer SKU before ordering. |
| Wearable Spartan helmet replica | Physical | A replica of the Stranger’s damaged and customized headgear, built directly from the protagonist’s in-game 3D model. |
| Exclusive Steelbook | Physical | A collectible metal case included with the package. |
| Hardback art book | Physical | A printed collection of Metro 2039 artwork. |
| Story Expansion DLC | Digital | A future story expansion announced for release in 2027. Its story, scope, and exact release date have not been detailed. |
| Digital art book | Digital | A digital collection of concept artwork. |
| Digital soundtrack | Digital | The official Metro 2039 game soundtrack. |

The Specialist Pack is not part of this base contents list unless the edition is preordered. Its availability can also be governed by retailer terms and stock.
The Wearable Spartan Helmet
The helmet is the defining difference between the Collector's Edition and the other announced packages. It recreates the headgear worn by the Stranger, the protagonist of Metro 2039, and was modeled from the same in-game 3D asset.
Its confirmed visual features include battle damage, scratches, personal modifications, a hinged visor, and integrated gas-mask elements. The publisher describes it as wearable and suitable for display or cosplay. The current announcement does not provide its measurements, weight, construction material, fit range, or packaging dimensions.
The gas-mask elements are part of the replica’s design. No protective or filtration function has been announced, so the collectible should not be treated as respiratory safety equipment.
The replica’s hinged visor, integrated gas-mask elements, and weathered surface are visible.
How the Editions Compare
The Collector's Edition is essentially the physical Deluxe package plus the wearable helmet. This comparison excludes the Specialist Pack because that reward applies separately to all qualifying preorders.
| Edition | Game and physical contents | Digital extras |
|---|---|---|
| Standard | Metro 2039 only | No edition-specific extras announced |
| Deluxe Digital | Digital copy of Metro 2039 | Story Expansion DLC, digital art book, and digital soundtrack |
| Deluxe Physical | Game disc on consoles or code-in-box on PC, exclusive Steelbook, and hardback art book | Story Expansion DLC, digital art book, and digital soundtrack |
| Collector's Edition | Deluxe contents plus the wearable Spartan helmet replica | Story Expansion DLC, digital art book, and digital soundtrack |
Choose the Collector's Edition for the helmet rather than for additional announced gameplay content. The Deluxe editions already contain the same Story Expansion DLC, digital art book, and soundtrack. The physical Deluxe package also includes the Steelbook and hardback art book.
The Specialist Pack Pre-Order Bonus
Every preordered edition is eligible for the Metro 2039 Specialist Pack. It provides early unlocks for three swappable backpack upgrades, called pouches. Only one can be equipped at a time, so the bonus offers a choice rather than three simultaneous effects.
| Upgrade | Intended role |
|---|---|
| Equipment Specialist Pouch | Supports players who want to craft advanced weapons and gear more quickly. |
| Chemtech Specialist Pouch | Supports exploration of radioactive areas with more gas-mask filters and cleaner, more reliable equipment. |
| Munitions Specialist Pouch | Supports firearm use by helping players find and use rarer, more powerful ammunition types. |
These are early blueprint unlocks. The announcement does not establish that the underlying upgrades are permanently exclusive to preorders.
Platform and Package Details
The physical-format note attached to the official edition breakdown says PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S packages use a game disc, while the PC package uses a code-in-box. Because Xbox Series S hardware has no disc drive, buyers should confirm the exact compatibility and delivery format of an Xbox listing before paying.
The supplied announcement does not identify which PC storefront receives the code. Metro 2039 is separately announced for Steam, Epic Games Store, and Xbox on PC, but that wider platform list does not prove where a Collector's Edition code will activate.
Digital books, the soundtrack, and the Story Expansion DLC are confirmed components, but their redemption method and delivery timing are not detailed in the available edition description.
Availability and Release Timing
Metro 2039 is scheduled to launch globally on February 4, 2027, with February 5, 2027 listed for parts of Asia, Australia, New Zealand, and other specified regional markets. Retailer release and delivery dates may vary.
The Collector's Edition is limited and sold through selected retailers. Availability is explicitly subject to stock, and the publisher’s retailer list is guidance rather than a guarantee that every listed store has every platform configuration available at a given moment.
No universal Collector's Edition price is confirmed in the available materials. Prices shown for Standard or Deluxe listings should not be reused as the Collector's Edition price. Check the platform, region, seller, package contents, final price, and preorder-bonus terms on the specific product listing before completing an order.
