Metro 2039 preorders are open ahead of the February 4, 2027 global release. Some parts of Asia, Australia, and New Zealand have an official February 5 release date instead. Verified preorder routes in the supplied material include PlayStation Store, Epic Games Store, Steam through the official game site, and selected US physical retailers.
Availability is not identical across platforms or stores. The PlayStation and Epic listings have active digital purchase options, while the captured GameStop Standard Edition listing is marked unavailable. Metro 2039 is also announced for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox on PC, but an active Xbox preorder and current Xbox price are not verified in the supplied store snapshots.
Metro 2039 preorder status at a glance

|---|---|---|---|---|

| PlayStation Store | PS5 digital | Deluxe | $99.99 | Preorder available |
| Epic Games Store | PC digital | Standard | $69.99 | Pre-purchase available |

| GameStop | PS5 physical | Standard | $69.99 | Currently unavailable in the captured listing |
| Amazon | PS5 physical | Deluxe | $109.99 | Preorder available in the captured listing |
A retailer page is not proof that stock is available. GameStop displayed the game, price, platform selector, and release date while also marking the selected PS5 Standard Edition unavailable and out of stock. Check the final product configuration and purchase button before relying on any listing.
How to preorder Metro 2039
- Choose your platform first. The confirmed platforms are PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, Epic Games Store, and Xbox on PC.
- Decide whether you want the base game, additional digital content, or physical collectibles. The relevant choices are Standard, Deluxe, and Collector's Edition.
- Use the official Metro 2039 site or the storefront on your chosen platform to locate the matching product. For a physical copy, verify the retailer's platform, edition, and stock state separately.
- Confirm the region and release date shown at checkout. The main global date is February 4, 2027, but some regions use February 5.
- Check that the product page identifies the Specialist Pack as the preorder bonus. Do not assume a retailer-specific image or generic bonus label represents extra content beyond that pack.
- Review the final price, taxes, delivery estimate, cancellation policy, and billing terms before placing the order. These are store policies rather than universal Metro 2039 terms.
Choose the right edition
The preorder decision is mainly between the base game, the digital expansion bundle, and a physical collectible package. Edition contents should be checked against the exact storefront listing because digital and physical Deluxe products are not presented identically.
Standard Edition
The Standard Edition contains the full game. Current US examples list it at $69.99 on PlayStation Store, Epic Games Store, and GameStop. The Specialist Pack is added when the game is preordered through the verified listings.
Choose Standard if you want the game and preorder bonus without paying for the announced story expansion, digital art book, or soundtrack. GameStop's captured PS5 listing is not currently purchasable despite displaying the $69.99 price, so confirm stock before planning around that retailer.
Deluxe Edition
The PS5 and Epic digital Deluxe listings include the full game, future Story Expansion DLC, Digital Art Book, and Digital Soundtrack. A qualifying preorder also receives the Specialist Pack. Both digital storefronts list this edition at $99.99 in the supplied US snapshots.
Amazon's physical PS5 Deluxe listing is different. It is priced at $109.99 and lists a game disc, Exclusive Steelbook, Hardback Art Book, Story Expansion DLC, Digital Art Book, Digital Soundtrack, and Specialist Pack. That physical package should not be treated as interchangeable with the $99.99 digital edition.
Collector's Edition
The Collector's Edition is the option built around the wearable replica of the Stranger's battle-scarred Spartan helmet. Deep Silver states that the helmet was built from the protagonist's in-game 3D model and is exclusive to this edition.
The official site directs buyers to check local retailers for availability. The supplied research does not establish a current US price or a complete list of retailers with purchasable stock, so compare the exact listing instead of assuming that a registration page or product image is an active order page.
Specialist Pack preorder bonus
The confirmed Metro 2039 preorder bonus is the Specialist Pack. It provides early unlocks for three backpack upgrade categories:
- Munitions
- Chemtech
- Equipment
The supplied storefront descriptions call these early unlocks. They do not explain the normal progression requirements, when the upgrades otherwise become available, or whether the pack will be sold separately after launch. The bonus therefore should not be described as exclusive gameplay content without further official confirmation.
Epic Games Store loyalty discount
Epic offers a 10% Metro 2039 discount to account holders who own at least one qualifying Metro game in the Epic Games Store. The listed qualifying games are:
- Metro 2033 Redux
- Metro Last Light Redux
- Metro Exodus
- Metro Exodus Gold Edition
The discount is applied at checkout and is scheduled to expire on February 4, 2027 at 11:00 AM ET. Confirm that the reduction appears before completing payment; owning a qualifying game on Steam, PlayStation, Xbox, or another store is not stated to satisfy Epic's account-based offer.
Important checks before paying
- Match the edition to the format you want. The $99.99 Deluxe examples are digital, while Amazon's $109.99 PS5 Deluxe listing is a physical package with additional physical items.
- Treat displayed stock separately from displayed price. A retailer can retain a price on an unavailable listing.
- Confirm the selected platform after changing edition options. GameStop's page displays both PS5 and Xbox Series X choices, but the captured state does not verify an active Xbox order.
- Do not assume early access. None of the supplied edition descriptions promises play before the applicable February 4 or February 5 release date.
- Recheck regional availability. The official site states that local retailer availability varies, especially for physical and Collector's Editions.
- Save the order confirmation and verify delivery or download details with the store. Store billing, cancellation, and fulfillment rules are not shared across retailers.
