The Metro 2039 Collector's Edition is a physical retail product rather than a digital-store purchase. In the United States, the available research identifies Walmart, Best Buy, Target, and GameStop as places to check, but it does not confirm live stock at any of them. In the United Kingdom, Very had PS5 and Xbox Series X listings at £259.99 without an out-of-stock label in the captured retailer tracker; several competing listings were already marked out of stock.
Treat every price and availability note below as a November 3, 2026 snapshot, not a guarantee that the item can still be ordered. Open the retailer's current product page, select the correct platform, and confirm that the checkout page explicitly says Collector's Edition before paying.

Official Collector’s Edition product beauty shot.
United States buying path
- Check Walmart, Best Buy, Target, and GameStop for a listing whose edition field explicitly reads Collector's Edition.
- Select PS5 or Xbox Series X before judging stock. A retailer may show different availability for each platform.
- Do not treat a $69.99 GameStop result as the Collector's Edition. The directly captured GameStop page defaulted to the Standard Edition at that price and showed it as unavailable.
- Confirm the $299.99 Collector's Edition price and stock again at checkout. The captured US tracker marked the GameStop PS5 version out of stock and did not establish another live US seller.
United Kingdom buying path
- Start with Very's PS5 and Xbox Series X listings because the captured tracker showed both at £259.99 without an out-of-stock marker.
- Verify that the product can actually be added to the basket. The absence of an out-of-stock label in a tracker is not proof that checkout will succeed.
- Recheck Smyths Toys, The Game Collection, and GAME for cancelled orders or restocks. Their captured listings were marked out of stock.
- Use EE, Currys, Argos, ShopTo, John Lewis, and Hit as additional stock checks, but do not assume they carry the Collector's Edition merely because they sell other Metro 2039 editions.
PC buying path
The official Collector's Edition supports PC, but the PC package contains a code in the box rather than a game disc. The only specific PC retailer result in the supplied snapshot was The Game Collection at £259.95, and that listing was marked out of stock. No live US PC Collector's Edition seller was confirmed.
What the Correct Collector's Edition Listing Includes
Official Collector’s Edition bundle artwork.
Use the package contents to distinguish the Collector's Edition from similarly named Standard and Deluxe listings. The confirmed bundle contains:
- Metro 2039 in its physical platform format
- A wearable replica of the Stranger's battle-scarred Spartan helmet
- An exclusive SteelBook
- A hardback art book
- The post-launch Story Expansion DLC
- A digital art book
- A digital soundtrack
The Collector's Edition incorporates the physical Deluxe Edition and adds the wearable helmet. A physical Deluxe listing with a SteelBook and hardback art book but no helmet is not the Collector's Edition.
| Platform | Game delivery inside the physical package |
|---|---|
| PlayStation 5 | Game disc |
| Xbox Series X|S | Game disc |
| PC | Code in the box |
This platform distinction matters if you want a disc or plan to give the edition as a gift. The PC box remains a physical collector's package, but the game itself is redeemed by code.
The Helmet Is the Key Identifier
The wearable Spartan helmet is the edition’s key identifying item.
The exclusive item that separates this edition from the physical Deluxe Edition is the wearable replica Spartan helmet. It is based on the in-game model used for the Stranger and features a hinged visor, integrated gas-mask elements, damage marks, scratches, and character-specific customisation details.
A retailer image showing only the SteelBook, art book, or ordinary game case is insufficient to identify the Collector's Edition. Look for the helmet in the product image and confirm that it appears in the written contents. Do not assume that a retailer's generic edition selector has loaded the correct package.
Checks Before You Place the Order
- Read the exact edition name. It must say Collector's Edition, not Standard, Deluxe, Digital Deluxe, or Day One Edition.
- Confirm the platform. PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC packages use different game delivery formats.
- Verify the helmet is included. It is the defining Collector's Edition item and should appear in both the description and package contents.
- Check the seller and fulfilment status. A marketplace page can display an edition name even when the original retailer has sold out or a third-party seller is supplying it.
- Review the final checkout total. Captured headline prices do not include every possible shipping charge, tax, import fee, or marketplace markup.
- Check the release date for your territory. Metro 2039 is scheduled for February 4, 2027, with February 5 listed for some territories including Asia, Australia, and New Zealand.
- Keep evidence of the order. Save the confirmation showing the edition, platform, seller, price, and listed contents in case the retailer changes its product page later.
Pre-Order Bonus to Confirm
Every Metro 2039 edition was announced with the Specialist Pack as a pre-order bonus. It provides early unlocks for three interchangeable backpack-upgrade blueprints:
- Equipment Specialist Pouch: supports crafting advanced weapons and gear more quickly.
- Chemtech Specialist Pouch: provides more gas-mask filters and cleaner, more reliable equipment for radioactive areas.
- Munitions Specialist Pouch: supports finding and using rarer, more powerful ammunition.
Only one of these upgrades can be equipped at a time. Because retailer bonus quantities or fulfilment methods may vary, check that the Specialist Pack appears in the current product description or order confirmation instead of assuming an older listing still includes it.
Best Available Buying Decision
For a US order, there is no confirmed in-stock retailer in the supplied snapshot, so compare the four identified retailers rather than relying on the out-of-stock GameStop result. For a UK order, Very is the strongest first check because its £259.99 PS5 and Xbox listings were not marked out of stock, but availability still needs confirmation in the basket.
If the desired platform is unavailable, wait for a retailer restock rather than buying a Standard or Deluxe listing by mistake. Prices substantially above the captured $299.99 US or roughly £259.95–£279.99 UK range should be checked carefully for third-party resale markup and seller terms.
